Layout for ASE2-3 is DONE

Layout is DONE!

All I've got left is player handouts now, there's one that I'm doing (just showing piano keys, a hint for a puzzle in the Tomb of Metal), and waiting on a hopefully minor treasure map revision.

So with any luck I'll have proofs by next week, and this thing should be up for sale a little before Thanksgiving.

Oh and I have to put together the cover, but that's pretty easy.  The front cover's already done, here's a sneak peak:

  4. Looks very cool!

It would be great if you can avoid the jpeg (?) compression artifacts on the cover for this one. If you look closely at the cover of the pod version of ASE1, you can see the compression artifacts all around the edges of the text.

    1. That's Lulu, not me - I upload as a PNG. I have two copies of ASE1 w/ me, one has the artifacts you mention, the other doesn't - so I suspect it has to do with the individual printing companies.

    2. Weird! ASE is the only time I've seen compression artifacts, other than one Thorkhammer module which after talking to Rob, he confirmed was a problem on his side. But PNG has lossless compression, so... weird!

Out of curiosity, which one of yours has the artifacts? A standard grade paper one, or a publisher's grade paper one? Mine's a standard grade one.

    3. They are both standard grade. Looking closer I can still see some artifacts on the other one.

Either I used a PNG for the cover and the printer converted to JPG, or I used a PDF and their PDF->cover image converter stinks.
