Put those dark elves back in their box and get your gonzo on! Riches, glory, and super-science await the bold and the clever in the deep places under the ground. This module describes the dinosaur- and wizard-infested future of the Earth, the city of Denethix, and the first level of the megadungeon that beckons from below: the Anomalous Subsurface Environment.
The second round of proofs came back from Lulu and all is well, so ASE1 is officially for sale. Click on the image of the cover over to the right, that will take you to the Lulu storefront.
I'm offering three versions, scroll til you find the right one.
Publisher Grade paper: $17.57. Buy this one if you're in the U.S.
Standard paper: $20.18. The printers in Canada & overseas use this kind of paper, so shipping is vastly cheaper on this version if you're outside the U.S. Buy this if you're an international customer.
I'm totally stoked. Putting the book together was way more work than I thought it would be, but the end result looks absolutely gorgeous.
If you read this blog regularly, you already know what this is - if you're just driving by, this is the most awesome product you could ever possibly own and if you don't buy it now, you'll probably be dead by morning. Just sayin'.
If you do buy it, I must beg for a favor - please talk about it online somewhere! I'm a small blog, I try to limit myself to content-only posts (no opinion pieces) so I don't rack up the followers of the "big guys." So please help me out & tell the world what you think about it, good or bad.
Great news, Pat :D I'm definitely looking forward to checking this out, once I place my next Lulu order (I usually gang them together to save on shipping).ReplyDelete
Cool, thanks for your support!ReplyDelete
To new readers: I suppose it might be more helpful to tell you what this module is all about, rather than just predict your demise before morning. But I have so little interest in proper "marketing".... Anyhow if you click in the "LABELS" section over to the right and down a bit, you'll see the various design notes I posted while writing the thing. So click around, see what it's all about, and then buy, because if you don't, terrible things will happen.
Pat - did I remember reading that you were going to be at GenCon, and these would be available at the OSR booth?ReplyDelete
Yes they will be available at GenCon, in the OSR booth! Only 10 copies though.ReplyDelete
Just purchased mine earlier this morning from Lulu! Just got a confirmation in my email that they already have it shipped to me. That was fast! Can't wait!ReplyDelete
Only 10! Yikes, if I don't get POD through Lulu ahead of time, I'll have to drop you a line to hold one - definitely coming to Gencon, DMing some Swords & Wizardry, AD&D, and maybe Tower of Gygax.ReplyDelete
And this is why I used Lulu instead of RPGNow. Another 20% off sale, til June 13th. Use coupon code TOP305 when you check out.ReplyDelete
See http://www.lulu.com/static/060811_en_TOP305wv.html if you want official Lulu details.
I am two hours in after printing the PDF (instant gratification ahoy!), and liking what I see. Just the right level of detail, and a lot of helpful, imaginative material. Seems to be inspired by very similar sources to the megadungeon campaign I am currently playing in, too (http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=45943).ReplyDelete
Is it too early to ask about part two?
@Beedo - To clarify, I personally won't be at GenCon. I've just got a spot reserved in the OSR Group booth. If you need a copy reserved let me know and I can forward your request on to the people at the booth.ReplyDelete
@Melan - Nope, not at all - see my latest blog post. It'll be 2nd/3rd and possibly 4th level, hopefully out by end of the year.
I'm in a group that's running through this now, but using the DCC beta rules. The DM hasn't appeared to have had any trouble converting on the fly. I'm guessing we'll finish way before the next installment comes, though.ReplyDelete
Bought this just yesterday after getting high recommendations of it. When the campaign starts I'm propably going to blog about it.ReplyDelete
Awesome, I'm looking forward to reading your players' adventures!ReplyDelete
